| Customer | 18,000 m² distribution warehouse with offices |
|---|---|
| Scope | Warehouse and office floors · the same opening hours before and after |
| Applied | 420 HB-150 LED high-bay lights · EC-90 fans in 2 air handling units · BC-2 controls |
| Measured | 12 months before and 12 months after · site electricity meter · weather-adjusted |
02
The warehouse lights were metal halide fixtures, left on from 6:00 to 22:00, even in aisles nobody used for hours.
Both air handling units ran at a fixed speed around the clock, so they drew the same power at night as during the busiest shift.

03
We replaced 420 warehouse fixtures with HB-150 LED high-bay lights. Each one dims to 20% when its motion sensor sees no one for 10 minutes.
We fitted EC-90 fans to both air handling units, and BC-2 controls now set fan speed from CO2 and temperature readings instead of running at full speed.
The work was done at night over five weeks, so the warehouse kept shipping.
04
Annual electricity use fell from 1,480 MWh to 1,010 MWh, from the site meter and adjusted for weather.
Aisle lights spend most of the night at 20%, and the shift lead sees lighting by zone on one screen.
Fan speed now follows CO2 and temperature, and the units run at 40–70% speed for most of the day.
1,480
electricity use in the 12 months before
1,010
electricity use in the 12 months after (weather-adjusted)
32%
lower annual electricity use
05
A 150 W LED high-bay light with a built-in motion sensor and dimming.
Replaces fixed-speed fans in existing air handling units with EC fans that change speed.
Sets fan speed and light levels from sensor readings and shows energy use by zone.
06
We compared 12 months of site meter readings before and after the work, adjusted for outdoor temperature.
It depends on your equipment, opening hours, and climate. We log your lighting and fan use for four weeks first and estimate the savings from that.
